Bayahibe is a small village in the east of the Dominican Republic, located 10 minutes of La Romana, on the Caribbean coast. Founded as a rural population of fishermen in 1874 by Juan Brito and his family, the city is now a major tourist destination in the Dominican Republic with Playa Dominicus being one of its main attractions.
Bayahibe and Dominicus are famous for its white sand beaches. Dominicus beach is one of the few beaches in the Caribbean which has awarded the blue flag. Is a starting point to visit the island of Saona and Catalina and Is one of the best places for diving in the Dominican Republic
